Job Title: People Operations Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC 

Job Summary:

The People Operations Specialist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This position serves as a key partner to employees and leaders, providing support across talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, HR operations, and employee engagement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Support recruiting efforts, including posting positions, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting interviews and coordinating candidate communications
·         Partner with the Director of People and management to support employee performance, engagement, coaching, and employee relations matters.
·         Facilitate a positive onboarding experience by partnering with managers and new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
·         Assist with investigations and documentation related to employee concerns and workplace issues.
·         Assist with employee accommodation requests.
·         Coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs.
·         Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
·         Generate and analyze HR reports, metrics, and workforce data to support decision-making.
·         Support internal audits and compliance reporting requirements.
·         Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
·         Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and employee experiences.
·         Perform other duties as assigned
 

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Abilities:

·         Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, employee relations, recruiting, and HR operations.
·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) with the ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
·         Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
·         Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
·         Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a customer service-focused, employee-centric approach.
·         Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Required Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·         2–4 years of Human Resources, People Operations, or related experience.
