Kimbrell’s Furniture is looking to add a Purchasing Associate to join our team. The Purchasing Associate will assist in managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
  
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the maintenance of a consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock, up to pre-authorized limit 
  • Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring ordering 
  • Provide inventory reports to appropriate members of management
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors
  • May assist with periodic physical inventory audit
  • Assist in submitting and processing of vendor charge back requests for damaged merchandise
  • Process inventory adjustments
  • Perform other duties as requested
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
